Think of driving a stick-shift car. You don’t stay in the same gear the entire ride — you shift up to cruise, down to climb a hill, back to neutral at a stoplight. Running works exactly the same way. The RunShift™ method gives you five clear gears, each with a purpose, so you always know when to push and when to hold back.
No confusing lab metrics. No rigid pace charts. Just you, your body’s signals, and the right gear for the moment.
The Five Gears at a Glance
Each gear trains a different part of your engine. Together, they build endurance, speed, and resilience — without burning you out.
Your recovery and reset mode. Talking is effortless. Use it during warm-ups, cooldowns, and rest intervals.
Very slow running. Full conversation possible. Active recovery and the entry point for beginners.
The workhorse. 70–80% of all your runs belong here. Comfortable but steady — you can talk, but you pause to breathe. This is the gear your body was built for.
Comfortably hard. Talking shrinks to a few words. Builds race-day stamina and raises your lactate threshold.
Hard but repeatable. Heavy breathing, a word or two possible. Used in 2–5 minute intervals to build speed and power.
Maximum effort. 10–20 second bursts. Talking is impossible. Sharpens stride mechanics, explosiveness, and running economy.
